Welcome to the education section of the Chinese Heritage
of Australian Federation website. This part of the website
has been specially designed for Australian secondary
History and Studies of society and the environment (SOSE)
teachers but will also be of interest to other teachers
and people with little knowledge of the history of Chinese
people's involvement in Australia. The site introduces
teachers to the history of the Chinese in Australia,
provides a range of lesson plans for History and SOSE
teachers as well as a range of resources to assist teachers
develop their own classes.
One of the exciting things about the web is that it
is constantly changing, new websites on matters relating
to the Chinese in Australia are constantly emerging.
This website is also not static. There are still many
gaps in this field which are steadily being filled in
and so further materials and information continue to
be added to the site. Teachers will therefore benefit
by exploring beyond the links referred to in their lesson
plans to additional material on the Chinese Heritage
of Australian Federation website and beyond. We encourage
additions and feedback on any aspect of the site.
Click on any of the links at the side to further explore
the education part of the Chinese Heritage of Australian
Federation website. Remember to use the 'back' button
on your browser to return to previous pages if you become
lost. |
