| Unpublished report from the Medical Officer of Health to the Administrator of the Northern Territory. Report on the buildings along the south west side of Cavenagh St from Bennett Street to the Esplanade, and comprising blocks 398 to 405 inclusive. Includes a discussion of Chinese tenement ownership, drainage and water supply and describes the buildings, materials they were made of and their cleanliness. Concludes that the area was in a ‘dangerously insanitary state’ and the ‘stringent and drastic measures’ are required. Also includes 16 images of buildings. |
